Art and Enterprise: Pasqua Vini presents the site-specific installation Luna Somnium on the occasion of Vinitaly 2023

Pasqua Vini combines creativity by presenting the site-specific installation Luna Somnium on the occasion of Vinitaly, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary studio fuse*. Set up at the Gallerie Mercatali in Verona, the work translates the need to observe the world from an unprecedented perspective that can suggest new keys to interpreting contemporaneity.

Daring spirit, impetus for innovation, and the desire for inclusivity are the characteristics that Pasqua Vini brings to Vinitaly 2023 through the site-specific work Luna Somnium commissioned to the multidisciplinary art studio fuse*. The Verona-based company, founded in 1925, is indeed sensitive to patronage initiatives that support the art world and allow artists to access and make themselves known in unusual contexts.

The Sensitivity of the Initiative

The sensitivity of the initiative allows for free expression and aims to involve different generations, especially Millennials and Gen Z who appreciate brand interest in the art world. Pasqua Vini thus entrusts fuse* with the task of creating a unique and significant experience, with an imaginative and engaging artistic project: the exploration of reality through different observation points is the story of Luna Somnium, which leads visitors to reflect on how even small changes can influence the overall perception of the world. What, in history, has inspired man to seek, explore, and imagine more than the moon?”

Luna Somnium echoes Giovanni Kepler’s Somnium, the first science fiction work ever written by man. Before Georges Méliès made the iconic Journey to the Moon, Kepler imagined a man traveling in his dream to the white satellite, where he has the opportunity to observe the sky and admire the earth, questioning beliefs and certainties and inspiring a new way of perceiving the world. Considered one of the most evocative and representative symbols in the exploration of the boundaries of the known, with the site-specific installation Luna Somnium, Pasqua Vini wants to invite the observer not to crystallize in prior certainties but instead to surrender to the wonder of surprising oneself and others through art, as in Kepler’s dream, which rewrites every perspective.

The Invitation to Experimentation

Luna Somnium is an invitation to experimentation, a combination of vision and technology that embraces Pasqua Vini’s philosophy as a laboratory for interdisciplinary research and dialogue. The site-specific installation, created in collaboration with the multidisciplinary art studio fuse*, is the expression of a daring spirit, driven to innovation and creativity. The Verona-based company, founded in 1925, proves to be sensitive to the artistic patronage initiative that supports the art world and allows artists to access and make themselves known in unusual contexts.

A New Way of Perceiving the World

Luna Somnium wants to invite the observer not to crystallize in prior certainties but instead to surrender to the wonder of surprising oneself and others, using art as a tool to explore reality. The work is an invitation to reflect on the complexity of human, social, and natural phenomena, and to consider new keys to interpreting contemporaneity. Just as Kepler imagined a man traveling in his dream to the moon to observe the sky and admire the earth, Luna Somnium invites the visitor to look at the world from a new perspective, suggesting that even small changes can influence the overall perception of the world.
