Trattativa Riservata

Descrizione

This masseria, typical local farmhouse, dates from the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century, but some parts probably belong to earlier periods.

The structure has a typical layout, with the buildings closed towards the outside, forming an internal courtyard where all the openings face.

The property was once a large farm inhabited by both the owners and the peasants, with stables, stores for fodder and crops. The compound consists of a main building (manor house) on two above-ground levels, with large terraces overlooking the surrounding countryside, an underground oil mill and a small chapel with frescoed walls. Adjacent to this is a large one-storey building, consisting of a number of rooms once occupied by farmers, as well as processing areas, stores and warehouses. The structure is entirely built in Lecce stone with about one hectare of land entirely fenced with a 3-metre wall, and nearby there is also another plot of about 4000 sqm. Although surrounded by the Salento countryside, the property is easily accessible via the main roads.
