Cristiano Pallara

Painting is magic, it opens the consciousness to new worlds evoked by the images of ‘lateral thinking’. The eyes see and perceive what the Sign says, but the Sense is free… to wander elsewhere!

Cristiano Pallara, observer of a collective eye, recounts his own eclecticism and point of view through painting. The vision has an intrinsic value, but stimulates “lateral thinking”, leaving interpretation free.
Born in Lecce in 1976 and already exhibiting at the most important contemporary art fairs since the 1990s with the “Paolo Erbetta” gallery in Foggia, he has grown up expressing his innate passion for figurative art and experimenting with its strongly evocative power. His works, often steeped in precise references that draw on personal and collective experience, also open up new perspectives, like magical windows to the world. Since 2016, in collaboration with Z.N.S. and RivaArteContemporanea, he has been the promoter of the “2° PIANO” project, in which he is the protagonist and “landlord”, welcoming young artists who are guests at his home/studio in Palagiano.

Poetics of line.
Try to look at one of his paintings for a few seconds, then look away. Go back to it, close your eyes and listen to yourself. This is how the vision takes shape, in a dance of meanings staged by the emotions and the eyes. The line, with its confident style, speaks of life and experiences, magically transporting you into memories; they are Alchemy: every trace is a certainty that gives itself.
